Pulivendula / Hyderabad: On the occasion of 69th birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy, his family members paid rich tributes at YSG Ghat at Idupulapaya in Pulivendula. YSRCP’s honorary President YS Vijayammma, her daughter in law Bharati Reddy, daughter Sharmila, EC Gangi Reddy offered floral tributes to the late chief minister. Several others also participated in the event.
The YSR family members reached Idupulapaya on Saturday evening itself to participate in special programmes organised to mark YSR Jayanti on Sunday. Later they held special prayers for departed soul. Former Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy, MLA Amzad Basha, YSRCP leaders Suresh Babu, Amarnath Reddy and Raghava Reddy were among leaders who paid their homage to Dr YSR.
People support Jagan for Rajanna Rajyam: Vijayamma
Later, addressing the gathering YS Vijayamma said that people of the state were waiting for the return of the Rajanna Rajyam. “Just like Dr YSR, YS Jagan also understands the problems of the people and has full support of the people in the state,” she noted. On the occasion, a book written by YS Vijayamma ‘Anudina Gnanavali’ was released.

Senior YSRCP leaders Botsa Satyanarayana, party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s political secretary Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy, Vasireddy Padma etc participated in Dr YSR’s birth anniversary celebrations at the party’s headquarters in Hyderabad.

On the other side, Congress leaders paid tributes to Dr YSR in an event organised at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad. Senior leaders Ponnala Lakshmaiah, KVP Ramachandra Rao, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Shabbir Ali etc participated. (NSS)
