As per the latest updates, recognizing the efforts in propelling tobacco control, the WHO has awarded the Resource Center for Tobacco Control (e-RCTC) of the Department of Community Medicine and School of Public Health at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh with the Regional Director Special Recognition Award.
The Resource Center for Tobacco Control gives data connected with tobacco control in India, including brochures and orders, approaches and regulations, multidisciplinary distributions, said Sonu Goel, Director with the e-RCTC.
Other than being a research hub, the middle has accomplished levels in limit working by getting sorted out in excess of 50 studios and online classes for around 3,500 program directors and academicians, Goel added.

Singh, Deputy Regional Director, International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, SouthEast Asia (SEA), said this subject based bulletin is delivered every other month containing articles connected with tobacco control, its industry, and so on.
Upwards of 19 versions of the pamphlet have been delivered.
The Resource Center for Tobacco Control, a joint drive of the PGIMER and the UNION-SEA, was set up in 2018 by 25 associations working over tobacco control in India with a mean to exhibit tobacco control drives.
