Wakf Board took the issue of Masjid-e-Qutub Shahi with the Police, Demand tough action against miscreants

Raising the issue of encroachment and trespassing in wakf land of Masjid-e-Qutub Shahi at Malkam Cheruvu with the Police, a team of officials from Telangana State Wakf Board have called-on the DCP Madhapur K.Shilpa Valli and discuss the matter in length with appropriate records and evidences.

It is pertinent to mention here that the tension prevailed on October 16 when some miscrients allegedly trasspassed into the compound wall of Masjid-e-Qutub Shahi at Malkam Cheruvu that sparked an outrage among the muslim commuinity.

A delegation of Wakf Board members led by Chairman Muhammed Masihullah Khan, urged the DCP to take appropriate action against the miscreants – who are allegedly trying to construct a temple illegally on wakf land and have entered the mosque area by trampling the compound wall.

During the meeting that went on for half an hour, the Wakf Board officials also urged the police to ensure the safety and security of the wakf land. To prove their point, the officials asserted before the revenue officials that 34 guntas of land in Sy.No.82 is a registered wakf land and the same was scheduled in the wakf gazette.

While explaining that the move of the District Collector Rangareddy – who issued an order on March 6, earlier this year declaring that the 18 guntas of land in the said survey number is a government land and handing over the same to temple management, was inappropriate, the Wakf Board Chairman Muhammed Masihullah Khan said, “He was informed the same to the official concerned the very moment the order was passed.

“I wrote a letter appended with survey report and Gazette copies to the RDO Rajndranagar Chandrakala and have explained her that the district collector – despite being a caretaker and a chairman of district committees being appointed by the state government, himself declared the wakf property as government land and making arrangements to surrender 18 guntas of land parcel to Temple management,” he pointed out.

By placing substantial evidences to prove his claim before the Revenue and Police officials, the Chairman Wakf Board demanded that the order being issued by the District collect on March 6 this year should be withdrawn and actional should be initiated against the miscreants who tried to construct a temple b dismantling the compound wall of the mosque.
