Medak: A huge container truck ran amok at Toopran Toll Gate in Medak district on NH-44 hitting vehicles and killing the niece of Commissioner of Police, Warangal, Viswanth Ravindra. While the police officer is safe, his relatives sustained injuries in the accident.
Ravindra had a miraculous escape in the incident. Ravindra’s car and his relative’s car were waiting at the toll gate when the speeding Container hit the toll plaza and rammed into one of the vehicles. A couple of toll booths were totally damaged in the incident.
Ravindra’s niece Anitha (49) died on the spot and five others were received serious injuries. Employees of toll-plaza, Amith Kumar, Govind Guptha and Jaya Kumar have suffered serious injuries, whose condition is stated to be critical. The injured kin of the Police Commissioner, Warangal were also rushed to Hyderabad after providing first-aid at a local hospital. Toopran Police have rushed to the spot and shifted the Commissioner, his kin and others injured to the hospital.(NSS)
