In another update from Uttar Pradesh, Waseem Rizvi, Shia Central Waqf Board Member, and former Chairman has been accused of rape. The victim is his driver’s wife.
Woman Accuses Waseem Rizvi of Rape, Blackmail
The woman whose name has not been revealed filed a complaint with the Saadatganj police station with several lawyers on Tuesday. She demanded an action against Waseem Rizvi. In the complaint, she had accused Rizvi of blackmailing her via obscene video and photos.
Talking to the media, the woman informed that Rizvi would sexually assault her after he’d sent her driver husband out on some work. And when she protested against it, he’d blackmail her with obscene videos and photos and he’d post all of that over the internet.

The woman further said that when she could not bear it anymore, she confronted the ordeal to her husband. And when the woman’s husband spoke to Rizvi, he beat him. Meanwhile, Rizvi also accused his driver of conniving with his rivals and was passing information to the.
The victim revealed that her husband has been working with Rizvi for many years. And Rizvi has been assaulting the woman from the past five years.
Saadatganj police station in-charge, meanwhile, said that further action will be taken after registering a case once preliminary investigations are over.
Rizvi Releases Statement Post the Incident
Waseem Rizvi recently printed and self-published the first compilation of what he calls “The Real Quran”. Following this, Shia clerics in Lucknow have been protesting against Rizvi. They demanded an FIR to be lodged against him for hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims.
Following this, Rizvi released a statement and said that in view of (rape allegations) recent incidents and his safety, he had fired the driver. The house was given to him (and his wife) has also been vacated.
Rizvi accused the driver of making baseless allegations to malign his reputation.
