Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said that they would allocate ₹20,000 crores in the next budget for the implementation of Dalitha Bandhu scheme in Telangana.
He made this announcement during the ongoing Assembly session while replying to a discussion held on the issue of the implementation of the scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, KCR made it clear that the scheme was not introduced to implement in the Huzurabad Assembly constituency. He reminded the house that the scheme took birth in the state in the year 1986 and added that he had organized a Dalita Chaitanya program for the implementation of the scheme in Siddipet district. He said that they had set up Dalits an women associations for the implementation of the scheme. The CM said that they had so far given priority to energy, drinking water, and irrigation sectors of the state so far and added that the groundwater levels had gone up in the state due to the implementation of mission Kakatiya scheme.
He said that no tank whose restoration works were taken under the Mission Kakatiya scheme were breached so far in the state. Stating that they had thought to implement the Dalita Bandhu scheme as soon as coming into power for the second consecutive term, he said that the scheme, which was supposed to be launched last year, was delayed due to the spread of coronavirus.

He said that the state had sustained ₹1 lakh crore loss due to the Covid virus. He said that they had plans to implement the scheme in all 119 Assembly constituencies of the State.
He said that they had thought of extending the scheme to 100 Dalit families from every Assembly constituency of the state and added that the scheme was still at the initial stage of implementation. KCR also said that they would go ahead with the implementation of the scheme by addressing any problems related to its implementation. He said that they had selected four Mandals from four SC Assembly constituencies of the state for the implementation of the scheme on pilot basis. Stating that the SC corporation was set up during the rule of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, he claimed that there was hardly a busy who had benefited from the corporation.
He also announced that they would implement the scheme in 100 assembly constituencies of the state by the end of March next year. He made it clear that none of the beneficiaries of the scheme should payback the beneficiary amount in the state.
He said that the scheme would require ₹1.8 lakh crore budget for the complete implementation of the scheme. He claimed that their party would come into power once again in the state after the next assembly elections and added that they would implement the scheme even after retaining power in Telangana.
The government released the funds in four spells to the poll-bound Huzurabad segment he said. He also claimed that the government has already released and deposited Rs 7.60 Cr for 76 families in Vasalamarri village in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district,
The CM said that the funds be used for the effective implementation of the scheme to empower Dalits. The SC Corporation has conducted a survey at each house in Vasalamarri village and got details of the people.

The government also took details of the families in the Huzurabad segment for Dalit empowerment scheme, he said. We plan to spend funds to develop BCs, STs, and others deprived of development, he added.
