West Bank Clashes Leave Dozens of Palestinians Injured

As per the latest reports, a large number of Palestinian protesters were injured during clashes with the Israeli soldiers in the northern West Bank.

During the clashes, at least 159 Palestinian protestors were severely injured during the clashes that broke with the Israeli soldiers in the northern West Bank, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

79 Palestinians that were injured near the villages of Beita and Beit Dajan, located south and east of Nablus city respectively, were treated by medical teams that were deployed in the area, as said in a statement by the PRCS.

Two young men amongst the 79 injured Palestinians were shot by live bullets and were moved to the main hospital in Nablus in an ambulance, it added.

In addition, the Israeli soldiers mildly injured 9 other protestors by firing rubber-coated metal bullets at them, including a female journalist who was shot in her face, while 68 suffered suffocation after inhaling tear gas fired by the soldiers.

Beita village has witnessed clashes with the Israeli soldiers nearly every day in protest against establishing a settlement outpost on lands owned by the village’s residents since May 2021.

Weekly protests were organized by Palestinian activists against the Israeli confiscation of lands and settlements’ expansion in the West Bank.

During protests, at least three Palestinians were shot and wounded by Israeli soldiers near the city of Qalqilya, as per the PRCS.

The Israeli army and settlers were condemned by the Palestinian Foreign Ministry for their attacks on the Palestinians and their properties across the West Bank, stating “these assaults will block any opportunity for resuming the peace process.”

As of yet, there has not been any official comment made by Israel on the incidents.
