Yogi Adityanath’s Tweet Spurs Debates Of Lucknow’s Name Change

As per the latest updates, the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is evidently back to its name-changing binge. A tweet by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has started off hypotheses about the name of Lucknow, the state capital, being changed before long.

In the tweet inviting Prime minister Narendra Modi to Lucknow on Monday night, Yogi expressed: “Sheshavatar Bhagwan Laxman ki pawan nagri Lucknow mein aapka swagat aur abhinandan.” This has prompted a discussion via social media about the name of Lucknow being changed to Laxmanpuri. An amazing temple committed to Laxman is now being built in Lucknow.

An interest to change the name of Lucknow to Lakhanpuri or Laxmanpuri has been raised a few times by BJP leaders. Lucknow as of now has a few milestones named after Laxman and these incorporate Laxman Tila, Laxmanpuri and Laxman Park.

The Yogi Adityanath government in its past term, had changed the name of Allahabad to Prayagraj and Faizabad to Ayodhya. In the interim, authorities said that they were not yet mindful of any proposition to rename Lucknow or some other city.

This comes after, the PM Narendra Modi on Monday night met with Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and his chamber of pastors, with an emphasis on administration and individuals associate, individuals mindful of the matter said. Modi arrived at the chief minister’s home a short while after 7pm, where the gathering was held.
