Why Did YSRCP Win With Huge Numbers?

YSRCP’s landslide win surprised a lot of competitors who were contesting in the same elections. Even though the elections to the gram panchayats and other local bodies were conducted on the non-party basis, many believe that Jagan’s image was instilled in the voter’s minds.

Party spokesperson Ambati Rambaby said that the results have set a benchmark for YSRCP governance under the CM and will ensure effective welfare schemes being implemented. It has further instated Jagan Reddy’s popularity amongst the society especially after the saturation of schemes after his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s terms as CM in Andhra Pradesh. He died in helicopter crash in 2009.
