2023-24 academic calendar for schools released by Telangana govt

The Academic Calendar for the academic year 2023-24, covering classes 1 through 10, has been officially released by the government. The calendar contains important dates and schedules that schools must adhere to. The academic year will begin on June 12, 2023, and end on April 23, 2024, according to the latest academic calendar. As a result, the summer vacation will be observed from April 24, 2024 to June 11, 2024.

The syllabus for class 10 will be completed by January 10, 2024, according to the academic calendar. This will give enough time for revision classes and the SSC board exam pre-final examination process. Similarly, the syllabus for class 9 will be completed by February 29, 2024, and focused remedial teaching will be provided to prepare students thereafter for the SA-2 exams scheduled for March 2024.

Throughout the academic year, a 5-minute time slot will be allocated to all classes following the assembly to promote physical and mental well-being among students.

Furthermore, the Badi Bata program will be held from June 6 to 9, 2023. This program aims to increase enrollment rates and ensure that every child receives a quality education.

The academic calendar’s assessment schedule includes the following key examinations: This year, Formative Assessment 1 (FA) will begin on July 31, followed by Formative Assessment 2 (FA) on September 30. This year’s Summative Assessment 1 (SA) exams will be held from October 5 to October 11.

Formative Assessment 3 (FA) is due by December 12 this year, Formative Assessment 4 (FA) is due by January 29, and Summative Assessment 2 (SA) is due by April 8 to 18, 2024, for students in grades 1 through 9. Pre-final examinations for class 10 will begin on February 29, 2024, followed by the SSC Board Exams in March 2024.

The release of the Academic Calendar provides a clear roadmap for schools, teachers, and students for the academic year 2023-24. By following this schedule, educational institutions can ensure that syllabi are completed on time, that assessments are effective, and that students have a productive learning experience overall.
