Hyderabad: Twenty-three passengers were grievously injured when a TSRTC bus rammed a stationary lorry at Nuslapur village under Thimmapur mandal on the Hyderabad-Karimnagar National Highway in the early hours of Sunday.
According to the information, the ill-fated bus was proceeding to Metpally in Karimnagar district from Hyderabad. The condition of three passengers, including bus driver remained critical. All the injured passengers were admitted to the government general hospital at Karimnagar. The front portion of the bus was destroyed.
The local police, who took up investigation, strongly suspect that the drowsy driver was responsible for the tragedy. (NSS)
