3 Key Projects Launched by PM Modi, Including ‘Kisan Suryoday Yojana’

On Saturday, three essential projects were launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi including the Kisan Suryoday Scheme. With this project, the farmers will get electricity during the day for irrigation purposes and stated that Gujarat was the first state to adopt the policy for solar power generation.

Apart from Kisan Suryoday Scheme, Modi likewise launched Paediatric Heart Hospital attached with Research Centre & Mobile App for telecardiology and U.N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Mobile Application for telecardiology at the Girnar Ropeway and the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital via video meeting.

Discussing the event, PM Modi stated, “After Sujlam Suflam and Sauni scheme, this Suryodaya scheme will benefit farmers. It will give maximum benefit to farmers.”

He furthermore emphasized that Gujarat was the first state in the nation which brought in policies for solar power usage.

He stated, “When the Patan solar power plant was set up in Gujarat, no one has imagined that India will show the world the mantra of one sun-one world-one grid.”

Modi included, “Today India is among the top countries in the production of Solar power generation. It has reached on 5th spot and is moving forward at a rapid pace.”

When pointing out the advantages of the Kisan Suryodaya Scheme, the Prime Minister stated: “Farmers will get the power since morning till 9 p.m., and they will get three-phase electricity.”

He furthermore said the government of Gujarat will lay 3,500 km of new circuit lines in the following few years in the state.

He said, “And I have been informed that in 1,000 villages, most of which are in tribal areas will be benefitted in the coming days.” He stated this will completely change the lives of many farmers when the entirety of Gujarat gets the power supply through this plan.

The ropeway, which was completed not too long ago, on Mount Girnar close to the Junagadh city of Saurashtra area covers a length of 2.13 kilometers from the foot to the peak where the temple of Maaamba is located.

The Prime Minister also commented that alongside power, Gujarat has also done remarkable work in the field of irrigation drinking water also. He felt proud of all the water projects that helped in water reaching the drought-hit areas of Gujarat.
