AAP Promises 24×7 Electricity in Punjab Ahead of Assembly Elections

With the Punjab Assembly Elections scheduled for March next year, the Aam Aadmi Party has been eyeing on the same. The AAP national convener and the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday announced that they will be providing 300 units of free power to every household in the state if they form the government there.

Aam Aadmi Party Promises 24×7 Supply of Power In The State

As per the latest reports, in pre-poll spos, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that his party will provide uninterrupted supply of power throughout the clock and will also waive off the pending electricity bills.

He said that even though it will take three-fours for them to upgrade the infrastructure. Following which they will be able to provide uninterrupted power supply. He further said that they have the provision of providing free electricity to every household upto 300 units. This means that around 77 to 80 percent households will get zero bill.

Further slamming the congress leader and the chief minister Amarinder Singh, he said it was surprising that Punjab makes their own electricity and still it is the most expensive in the country.

He also said that the government already provides 200 units for free electricity to every family in Delhi. “Women in Punjab are also very unhappy with inflation. The AAP government will also provide free electricity in Punjab,” he added.

Punjab CM Refutes AAP Allegation Against Holding Press Conference 

The above update comes a day after the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday refuted the claims made by the AAP. The party claimed that the Punjab CM was not allowing them to hold a press conference in Chandigarh.

However, in response, the Punjab CM said that the whole situation was “drama”. He said, “if he (Kejriwal) wants, I’d be happy to arrange his lunch too.”
