Following its success in Delhi and Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to focus its efforts in Telangana in South India.
The AAP party in charge in Telangana, Somnath Bharti, has announced a padyatra from April 14.
Following the criticism of KCR, the AAP has stated its intention to embark on a padyatra from April 14 to reach out to people in various districts across the state.

According to sources, the AAP party’s decision to enter Telangana politics demonstrates the failure of efforts to form a third front. It is feared that the AAP’s entry into Telangana politics will divide secular votes in the current situation.
AAP criticizes CM KCR
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) aimed guns at Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday, calling him “arrogant” and referring to him as “Chhota Modi,” alleging that he distributed government jobs among his family members and criticizing his state’s budget.
The AAP’s criticism of Rao and his Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) comes at a time when the Telangana Chief Minister is actively meeting with regional political leaders to forge a united front — excluding the Congress — to fight the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 general elections.
KCR, on the other hand, is yet to approach AAP chief and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal about the Opposition front.

“KCR is known as ‘Chhota Modi’ in Telangana, his arrogance only supports the claim… Just like the BJP has failed in every state in every way. TRS has failed massively in Telangana, and KCR sahib is known as Chhota Modi there,” AAP’s MLA Somnath Bharti said in a press statement.
