Hyderabad: Actors-turned-politicians Dr Rajasekhar and his wife Jeevitha Rajasekhar here on Saturday said they have joined the YSRCP without making any formal request to its president and Chief Minister designate YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
Addressing mediapersons at their Jubilee Hills residence here today, Rajasekher said though he met YS Jagan following his invitation to join the YSRCP, he could not get time to tell Jagan that his wife Jeevitha would work actively in the party. He, however said they were very happy that the YSRCP had created a history by winning a record number of seats to form next government in the State.
Rajashekhar said he was happy to note that all the Assembly seats where they campaigned for the party candidates were won by the party in the Assembly elections. He also revealed that he tried to talk about the earlier differences that they had with YS Jagan, but they didn’t get time to sort them out with Jagan. (NSS)
