Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi tests positive for covid-19

Coronavirus has caught on to another celeb from the Hindi film industry as Siddhant Chaturvedi, popular for playing the role of MC Sher in Ranveer Singh’s Gully Boy, revealed that he tested positive for covid-19. The actor released the statement on Saturday night through an Instagram story post, in which he mentioned that he is taking all necessary precautions advised by the medical staff.  

 

The actor who rose to stardom with his debut role is “self-quarantining at home”, according to his post where he also said that he is dealing with the situation “head-on”.

“Thank you all for all your concerns. Confirming that I have tested positive for Covid -19. I’m feeling fine at this time and self-quarantining at home. I have taken all precautions and followed all protocols as advised by the doctors. Being positive and tackling this head-on,” his statement read.  

He made an army of fans after he starred in 2019’s Gully Boy that had Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as the lead actors. The film won several accolades along with being chosen as India’s official entry to the 92nd Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category and winning 11 Filmfare awards nominations that year. 

He has a couple of movies in his kitty for now as he will be seen alongside Katrina Kaif and Ishaan Khatter in Phone Bhoot, a horror-comedy. Next, he is going to be starred in a film opposite Deepika Padukone.

Apart from these, soon he will be seen in Bunty Aur Babli’s sequel. The Yash Raj Films’ production stars debutant Sharvani, Rani Mukherji and Saif Ali Khan while the first film had Rani Mukherji and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles with Amitabh Bachchan in a supporting role. 

While the lockdown remained a period to discover inner talents and develop new skills, Siddhant Chaturvedi gave wings to his singing skills and released a song called Dhoop last year. The song was produced by Excel Entertainment of Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani while being written and composed by Dawgeek.
