AIMIM-i Fielded Candidate To Seek Mandate in Huzurabad by-poll

Ratcheting up the poll fervor again among the party’s rank and file after tasting the first debacle in the last GHMC elections, the All India Majlis Inquilaab-e-Millat (AIMIM-i) has fielded its candidate in Huzurabad by-elections.

The AIMIM (Inquilab) party has fielded 63 years year old Tahir Kamal Khundmiry, as its face in the by-poll that was scheduled to be held on October 30.

Tahir Kamal Khundmiri is not a new to the elections as he tried his luck earlier too in the elections especially in poll battles that held to seek mandate for assembly constituencies and a parliament seat in Hyderabad.

He was first tried his luck in the year 2004 when he contested the election from Chadrayangutta Assembly constituency on TRS ticket. He contested Kareemnagar by-election too in the year 2006 as an independent candidate and later again thrown his cap into the poll ring in 2009 during parliament elections of Hyderabad securing a ticket from Janta Dal party.

With his repertoire political experience, Tahir Kamal Khundmiri has again thrown his hat into the election ring to seek mandate from poll bound Huzurabad constituency where the by-election is scheduled to be held on October 30.

After fielding the candidate from poll bound Huzurabad constituency the President AIMIM Inquilab Party Moulana Syed Tariq Quadri, while talking to YTN said, “It is imperative to strengthen opposition in Assembly so that public grievances could be discussed up-closely. Given the astronomical strength of TRS MLAs in the Assembly, voting for TRS candidate will be nothing more than an empty exercise of adding another sleeping member to the existing one.”

As such, he further said, the need of hour is to elect opposition candidate and Tahir Kamal Khundmeri will surly fill the missing gap in the present Assembly.

It is said, that there are nearly ten to fifteen thousand voters besides 60,000 Dalit electors in Huzurabad constituency who would decide the fate of the candidates seeking mandate in the poll battle.  However, going by the present trend, it appears that the battle is not an easy pill to swallow this time even for the ruling TRS party as the BJP and the Congress too are would give a tough fight this time.

Taking a pot shot at TRS government, the party’s spokesperson Advocate Qavi Abbasi said, “The TRS party has failed to fulfill the promises soon after coming into power. From 12 percent reservation for minorities to recurrent incidents of demolition of mosques in the state, this party makes a niche over other communal folds in the country wrapped under a secular mask.”
