After a brief fight with the virus, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan have recovered from the infection. They tested negative for COVID-19 and got discharged from Nanavati hospital in Mumbai.
The mother-daughter duo has been sent home after receiving treatment at the hospital for 10 days. Husband Abhishek Bachchan shared the good news regarding the recovery of his wife and 8-year old on Twitter. However, Abhishek mentioned that he and Amitabh Bachchan are still at the hospital, getting treated.
Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes. Indebted forever. Aishwarya and Aaradhya have thankfully tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital. They will now be at home. My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff,” Abhishek Bachchan tweet read.
The former Miss World was quarantined at home after testing positive for the virus a day after her husband and father-in-law were shifted to Nanavati hospital in regards to the same. When she could not recover at home after a week, Aishwarya and daughter Aaradhya were admitted to the same hospital where Abhishek and Amitabh were already being treated.
The 46-year-old actress was taken to the hospital on July 17th where the next day she developed a mild cough. However, it faded and sources said that was better. Moreover, another source from the hospital added that the Bachchans were “responding well to the treatment” much to the delight of their millions of fans.
After confusion on the COVID-19 infection status of the actress and her daughter, Abhishek Bachchan confirmed them being positive for the virus on July 12th. Maharashtra Health Minister, Rajesh Tope, had shared the news over Twitter and then quickly deleted the same, igniting speculations.
On July 11th, soon after Big B posted his test results, Junior Bachchan too followed suit and shared his condition with the world saying that they had both been tested positive for coronavirus and are at the hospital to get treatment.
The 77-year-old legendary actor’s bungalows were sealed by the Brihan Mumbai Corporation of BMC, along with Jalsa. 30 members of staff at the properties were being tested for COVID-19. Jalsa was unsealed on July 26th. Jaya Bachchan was tested to be negative.
Many Bollywood actors’ house staff was found to be positive for the virus including Boney Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Rekha, and Aamir Khan.
