Asaduddin Owaisi Demands International Aid Transparency From Narendra Modi Government

AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday demanded the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to be transparent regarding the international aid.

Asaduddin Owaisi Questions PMO On Twitter

Owaisi recently took to Twitter to take a jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance. Talking to Twitter he said that they have received at least 300 tonnes of International Aid. And the PMO India hasn’t informed us (citizens) of anything that has happened with the aid. He further said that the life-saving material is stuck in shortage because of “bureaucratic drama”.

He added that it only shows that it has nothing about incompetence but rather shows the (PM’s) lack of compassion towards the fellow citizens. However, the Finance Ministry on Monday confirmed that there is no consignment of 3000 oxygen concentrators pending with the Customs authorities currency.

This came after the matter of 3000 oxygen concentrators lying at the Customs authorities came up in Delhi High Court. The ministry confirmed that no such incident has happened. And further said that since the picture of the same was floating around social media, anybody with information about the same shall inform the authorities. Actions will be taken thereafter.

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) recently clarified that customs procedures for certain items. Talking about the same, CBIC has eased the customs for emergency medical equipment along with faster delivery of the consignments amids the huge surge in imports of Covid related emergency products.

Asaduddin Owaisi Holds PM Modi Government Responsible For Second Covid 19 Wave

In a recent interview, Owaisi accused the PM Modi Government for encouraging the second wave of coronavirus. He said that the constitutional duty of the Prime Minister is to save the lives of the citizens.

Furthermore, he said that the experts repeatedly kept warning the government about the second wave but they didn’t do anything. And now the second wave has claimed the lives of thousands of people.

Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader has also accused the Modi government of the same.
