Assault and Tree Tying: Couple Accused of Black Magic in Telangana Village

A man and his wife were reportedly assaulted and tied to a tree in Sangareddy, Telangana, by neighbours who accused them of practising black magic. A video of the incident went viral on social media, prompting a police inquiry.

The incident occurred two days ago in Kolkuru village, which is under the jurisdiction of the Sadashivpet police station. Locals accused the pair, identified as Yadaiah and Shyamamma, of practising black magic. The townspeople broke into their home, brought them to the village, and assaulted them while tying them to a tree.

The local police arrived at the area quickly after receiving the information and rescued the pair. Fortunately, none of the victims were seriously injured. In connection with the occurrence, a case has been filed.

Authorities are investigating the incident in order to identify and apprehend those responsible for the assault.
