Assembly adjourns to Sunday to continue debate

Hyderabad : Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today adjourned the House to meet on Sunday after a debate on budgetary proposal among ruling and Opposition parties. At first, the House paid tributes to the departed legislators and took up the proceedings as per agenda.

As the Speaker started the debate on the budget, the Chief Minister replied to the questions raised by the Opposition leaders. Ministers Harish Rao, KT Rama Rao and MLA G Kishore have explained about the government’s priorities, irrigation projects, welfare schemes, flagship programs and developmental activities in industries and others in the State.

AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi showered praises on the government for its people-centric governance. Congress leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka accused the State government of looting money in the name of redesigning of irrigation projects and wasting funds. Refuting the charges, Leader of the House said the Congress was talking lies and making false criticism. “We have introduced the reduced budget due to slump in economy and upon approval by the CAG”, KCR informed the House.

The Chief Minister said the Congress failed to recognize welfare, projects and development works and involved in false criticism, he fumed. He also vowed to complete the Irrigation projects like Palamur-Ranga Reddy, Sitharama and others to develop the State into green. (NSS
