Hyderabad: The Shamshabad zone Special Operation Team has apprehended a notorious offender involved in five automobile theft cases under the limits of Miyapur, Bachupally, Shadnagar police stations of Cyberabad Commissionerate and Patancheru PS of Sanga Reddy District and recovered five Bajaj Autos.
The accused was identified as Shaik Akbar, 30, Auto Driver, residing at Mahamoodabad in Rajendranagar. Police said the accused, at the age of 15, committed theft of an auto for the first time in 2005 under Rajendranagar policy limits. Later, the accused committed some 10 property offenses between 2005 and 2019 in the limits of Rajendranagar, Mailardevpally, Narsingi and Bowenpally police stations under Hyderabad Commissionarate. This year, he committed theft of five Autos under various police stations. The Shamshabad Zone SOT Team nabbed the accused on Thursday and recovered five autos from his possession.
