Muslim political figures today lashed out the government for failing in making a watertight case against 32 primary accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case despite having substantial proofs and many contentious testimonies as all the perpetrators of the crime have simply escaped conviction by beating the rap.
The special Central Bureau of Investigation court at Lucknow today pronounced the judgment acquitting all the 32 accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case citing lack of conclusive proof.
Among the 32 accused that acquitted today includes former deputy prime minister LK Advani, former Chief Minister Madhya Pradesh Uma Bharti, the then union minister Murli Manohar Joshi, and ex-governor Rajasthan Kalyan Singh. The Special CBI court pronounces the judgment saying the demolition of Babri Masjid was a spontaneous act and not a pre-planned action.
Explaining that the judgment of the Special CBI court has finally draw a permanent fault line in the history after completing the wheel of consistent injustices in the Babri Masjid Demolition case, Mr. Majid Ullah Khan Farhat, President Majlid Bachao Tahreek (MBT) said, “The desecration and demolition of historic Babri Masjid on 6th December 1992 was the biggest act of terrorisms in the history of India which was committed under the leadership of L.K. Advani and other accused with the support of scores of fascist followers covertly sponsored by state headed by the then prime minister Narsimha Rao. It is a complete statecraft terrorism that was followed by a flurry of communal bloodbath in the country engulfing states one after another ravaging lakhs of human lives all because of to suit the fascist agenda of Hindutva forces.”
Alleging the whole episode as a completely cut and dried case he said “Saffronization of judiciary and bureaucracy with individual’s clearly working for fascist saffron agenda in higher echelons of hierarchy needs no more evidence as CBI clearly became a tool weakening the evidences. Modi regime not only luring but taking over the judiciary as well as the bureaucracy to subvert secularism with paid saffron media working to cater the need of the ruling elite. It is sad state of affairs that the dangerous and imperious path being chosen and gleefully encouraged by polarized sections and paid media,” excoriated Mr Khan.
“Legitimizing the act of terror like the acquittal of L.K. Advani and others in the demolition of Babri Masjid case are like pursuing the path of self-destruction and by the time the people of this great nation realize their mistake will be too late to undo the fault lines created in the history by acquitting all the primary accused in the case,” rued Farhat Khan.
Finding fault with the way all the accused in the Babri Masjid Demolition case was acquainted, Moulana Syed Tariq Quadri, President All India majlis Inquilaab-e-Millat (AIMIM), said: “Isn’t CBI Courts’ verdict On Babri Masjid demolition case not a cut and dried case and a new jurisprudence developed in the context of Judgment last year by the bench headed by Justice Gogoi?”
He further said, “Question arises as the five-member SC bench in the year 1994 itself observed that it was a shameful, unlawful and criminal act. More so, Justice Libheran Commission findings and several historical facts included in CBI Chargesheet also raise similar questions. Now the citizens await and watch how the CBI will react to the honor majesty of Rule of Law.
