This action follows Congress leaders’ declaration of six assurances for Telangana residents at a recent public assembly on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
While the governing party’s state officials have tried to convince the public that adopting these assurances in Telangana will have negative financial effects, the Congress has stressed its commitment to these programmes, which have been implemented in adjacent Karnataka.
Despite the ministers’ attempts, the Congress’ six assurances have struck a chord with the people, prompting the BRS to take a lighthearted approach in order to persuade voters that these guarantees are only a joke.

During the last assembly elections, it was amusingly contrasted to the announcement of Apple Inc.’s production plant in Bangalore rather than Hyderabad. The term “Bengaluru gets Apple, and Hyderabad gets Baigan” stressed the state’s importance in luring investments.
With the Congress pledging six assurances for Telangana after its triumph in Karnataka, the importance of “Baigan” in political campaigns has once again been highlighted.
This use of humour and symbolism in political discourse exemplifies the innovative and engaging strategies used by Indian political parties to interact with voters.
