The use of DJ sound systems, various musical instruments, and fireworks during religious processions has been officially prohibited within the jurisdiction of Hyderabad Commissionerate. This decision was recently announced by Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, C.V. Anand, in response to public feedback and growing concerns.
A few days ago, the Hyderabad Police Commissioner held a consultative meeting with leaders of political parties and senior officials from various departments. During the meeting, there was a consensus to ban the use of DJ systems in religious processions. The participants emphasized that the loud sound from DJ systems was causing significant inconvenience to the elderly and patients, while also disturbing students preparing for their exams.
Religious leaders from various communities present at the meeting also supported the ban on DJ systems and fireworks during processions. Following their agreement, the Hyderabad City Police formally issued orders to implement the ban.
