Reacting over centre’s move banning the Popular Front of India (PFI) and its associate organizations for five years, the Rashtriya Janata Dal Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said, “All the organisations spreading hate in the country must be banned that include Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The centre government should impose a similar ban first on RSS which is the worst ever organisation then the Popular Front of India.”
The RJD chief took to his twitter account and posted his remark after the report regarding the centre’s move of banning PFI emerged on social media. Reminding that the RSS was banned twice in the past, he said, “Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel is the first man who nibbed the bud of this organisation.”
Meanwhile, the Congress party too welcomed the ban on PFI saying that the party has been completely against communalism on all sides since the beginning. While reacting on behalf of the party, the senior Congress leader Jai Ram Ramesh said, “No fear and no compromise is the party’s policy against communism since beginning.”
“We are completely against every ideologue and organisation that polarises the society on religious grounds and uses hatred, vengeance and violence to suit their goals,” he explained.
In a similar reaction, the Dewan of Dargah Ajmer Zainul Abedeen Ali Khan too called the ban on PFI a fair decision. According to report, Zainul Abedeen said “the ban imposed by the Modi government centre was completely in accordance to the law and aimed at arresting the spread of terrorism in the country.”
“All the sections of the society should welcome the decision. We are safe only when the country is safe. The country is above any organisation and ideology. No one has a right to live in this country if they want to destabilise the nation and disturb the peace and tranquillity of the country,” he argued.
