Battle for UP: FIR Against Mukhtar Ansari’s Son for Controversial Remark

Uttar Pradesh Police have lodged an FIR against gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari’s son, Abbas Ansari, for allegedly threatening government officials with payback, at a public rally in Mau district.

Abbas Ansari, who is contesting the Assembly polls as a candidate of the Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP)-Samajwadi Party alliance, said at a rally that he had asked SP chief Akhilesh Yadav not to transfer officials right away after forming the government, as he has a score to settle with them.

“I have asked SP chief Akhilesh Yadav that no transfers or postings will happen for six months. First, ‘hisab kitab’ will happen with them. Only then their transfer certificates would be stamped,” he said on Thursday.
