The popular reality show Bigg Boss, the Indian version of the American show Bigg Brother is set to come back on television screens with a new tagline. Every episode of the show starts a controversy of its own with leads to an increase in the TRP and more viewers get glued to their TV sets to watch the drama unfold. With contestants fighting verbally using abusive words to becoming physical by hitting each other, the show has seen it all.
This year, the show marks its 14th season which is going to be presented with a catchy and desi tagline like its previous seasons. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Bigg Boss this time will showcase a lockdown theme, which was pretty predictable given the current times. The publication said that the makers of the show are keen to take up the tagline- “Bigg Boss 14 Hoga Rocking” for its all-new 14th season.
The media house quoted a source close to the development saying, “Like last year, it was Bigg Boss 13 Tedha, the 14th season will be called Rocking. The tagline considered is, ‘Bigg Boss 14 Hoga Rocking’.”
Pinkvilla’s exclusive report marks a new addition to the already existing list of possibilities surrounding the infamous reality show that are flooding the internet.
Some of these suggest that with Salman Khan being retained in the show as its host, he will be shooting for it from his Panvel farmhouse itself, where he is staying these days, others have given out the list of contestants who are likely to be a part of the show.
In its report earlier this month, Mumbai Mirror, another publication house, spoke about Bigg Boss 14 getting premiered in September. It also stated the names of the probable contestants in it, including TV stars like Nia Sharma, Vivian D’sena, and Sugandha Mishra.
“Yes, Salman Khan is on board and the show kicks off in two months. We have started talking to prospective participants, among them are popular television actor Vivian Dsena, Nia Sharma and ShekharSuman’s actor-son Adhyayan. Hopefully, they will come on board,” a source close to the show told the publication.
On the other hand, actors who have been mentioned in these lists have been expressing their concerns and reactions over the news. Some of them refuted their connection in any sort with the show and even took to social media to state the same. One such “contestant” was model Rajeev Sen, brother of actress and Former Miss Universe SushmitaSen, who rubbished the reports last week. Onir, the Bas Ek Pal director, tweeted about his complete ignorance of knowing about his involvement and participation in the show at all. His tweet read, “Big news. I woke up to read that I AM one of the contestants of Bigg Boss 14 and I have no clue.” When a user said that contestants of the show often do not know that they are a part of the show, Onir joked and said, “Yes surprised that even as a mistake someone thought of me.”
The article shared by the filmmaker was a report by IB Times which claims of exclusively having the list of contestants. According to this report, TV actors SangitaGhosh, Avinash Mukherjee, ShireenMirza, Jay Soni, Nikhil Chinapa and Onir are among the previously unnamed contestants of Bigg Boss 14.
Salman Khan has been hosting the hit reality show for over a decade now, starting in 2006. Former hosts of the show during its other seasons included Amitabh Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Farah Khan and Arshad Warsi.
