BJP Poised for a Landslide Victory in 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections, Exit Polls Predict

The exit poll results for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections indicate a major political shift in the National Capital, with multiple surveys predicting a resounding victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). If these projections hold true, the saffron party is set to reclaim power in Delhi after more than two decades, ending the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) three-term rule.

Several exit polls suggest that the BJP has secured a clear mandate, with vote projections significantly favoring the party over its rivals. The final results will be announced on February 8, but the trends signal a strong wave in favor of the BJP.

Exit Poll Projections:

  1. Chanakya Strategies:
    • BJP: 39-44 seats
    • AAP: 25-28 seats
    • Congress: 2-3 seats
  2. DV Research:
    • BJP: 36-44 seats
    • AAP: 26-34 seats
  3. People’s Insight:
    • BJP: 40-44 seats
    • AAP: 25-29 seats
    • Congress: 0-1 seat
    • Others: Nil
  4. Peoples Pulse & Codemo:
    • BJP: 51-60 seats
    • AAP: 19 seats
  5. JVC Exit Polls:
    • BJP: 39-45 seats
    • AAP: 22-31 seats
    • Congress: 0-2 seats
    • Others: 0-1 seat

The exit poll results suggest a major turnaround in Delhi’s political landscape, with the BJP projected to gain a decisive lead over AAP, which has ruled the city since 2015. If these predictions come true, it will mark the return of the BJP to power in the National Capital for the first time since 1998.

The projections also indicate a significant decline for the Congress party, which continues to struggle in Delhi, with most polls predicting no more than two or three seats for the party.

Voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly took place on February 5, with a voter turnout of around 60% as per early estimates. The key issues that dominated the election campaign included governance, inflation, electricity and water supply, pollution control, and law and order in the city.

With exit polls strongly favoring the BJP, all eyes are now on the official results, which will be declared on February 8. The final outcome will determine whether Delhi witnesses a political shift or if AAP manages to hold its ground against the BJP’s resurgence.
