BJP Protests Against New Excise Policy of AAP Government

As per the latest reports, the BJP Delhi on Monday challenged the Arvind Kejriwal-driven government’s new excise policy by hindering traffic at 15 spots across the national capital.

Opposition Against Encouraging Alcohol Shops

The opposition has asserted that the new approach will encourage opening of alcohol shops in each street and corner of the national capital, giving the city a terrible name.

The fights were organized at ITO, Chandini Chowk, Akshardham go across shopping center street, Keshavpuram, Vikas Marg, Civil Lines, Shahadra, Signature Bridge, Karol Bagh, South and South West Delhi, among different areas.

“Each and every person of Delhi, including ladies, are worried about alcohol shops coming up near their homes,” Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta said on Sunday while declaring the dissent.

“Kejriwal needs to make Punjab alcohol free, however is resolved to make Delhi a city of alcohol. We will go against this move.”

Since the presentation of the new excise policy, the BJP has been challenging the Kejriwal-driven government. Under this arrangement, almost 850 alcohol shops should open up across city as the state government made an exit from the alcohol business.

Deputy CM Justifies Alcohol Distributes

While declaring the policy, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had said that it would alter Delhiites’ alcohol purchasing experience by giving the alcohol distributes another shape.
