BJP put forth a demand to revise Wakf Act 1995. Pose a threat to wakf properties in the country

Communalisation of politics and hate mongering against Muslims seems to have taking no decline in country and infact peneterats deeper inside the corridors of power where saffron leaders making despicable statements one after another only to provoke Muslim minorities in the country.

After inciting a outrage among Muslims by the senior BJP leader and Central Home Minister Amit Shah – who appeared hellbent over imposing Uniform Civil Code more so after gaining victory in recently held Gujarat elections, another BJP leader in Rajya Sabha proclaimed that Wakf Board has grabbed many  government lands claiming them as its own property.

Just like pot calling the kettle black, the BJP member Harnath Singh Yadav raised objections in the Rajya Sabha claiming that Wakf Board has grabbed lands in various places in the country which are government properties. As such there is an urgent need to revise Wakf Act 1995.

Dragging the attention towards his point the BJP MP further claimed that the Wakf Board encroached upon Hindu temples in a village in Tamilnadu. Claiming that the issue is of very serious nature, he demanded the government that the Wakf Act 1995 should be revised. Ironically, the demand was put forth in Rajya Sabha despite the fact that scores of Wakf Properties are encroached upon mainly in BJP ruled states in the country.

Similarly, another BJP leader from Karnataka threatened the Muslim voters of his constituency and urged them either to vote for him or else he will not lent a year to their issues. In a viral video, the BJP MLA Preetam Gouda can be heard saying that “As long as the Muslims avoid voting in his favour, he will not going to address their issues.”

“If I had my work done properly but getting no support from your’s (Muslim) side in return, then helping you people is no worthwhile. So vote in favour of me or else I will not address your grievances,” the BJP leader heard saying in the viral video.

“You people (Muslims) have deceived me by never favouring me in the last three elections,” he further said, adding that “Next elections are scheduled to be held after six months. If you people (Muslims) deceived me yet another time, I will remain there in the area but will not address any of your grievances. If you people come to my house I will serve you coffee but return you empty handed.”
