Raising grave concern over the way the former president of India Hamid Ansari is being targeted by PM Modi led BJP Government these days simply because he belongs to Muslim community and a congress sympathiser, Prof. Apoorvanand, renowned professor from University of Delhi, said, “It is very unfortunate that Ansari was forced to prove his loyalty towards the country time and again.”
“If you carefully peep into the way the BJP is working especially during the last eight to nine years of rule, you could easily find that the saffron party with its demeanour has tried to explain time and again that it will never care and give hoot to anyone of any stature. The party wants to bulldoze all the lines of decorum the society based upon,” he asserted.
While participating in a debate at a news channel on Thursday, Apoorvanand said “Hamed Ansari issue is an eye opening and an obvious message for Muslims that how big they rise to a position, they may ultimately be targeted simply because of their allegiance to a religion the BJP and the RSS dislike the most. “They just want to create absurd issues only to retch-up the volume of hatred against the Muslim community without stoking up violence. This is just a trap to malign the image of Hamid Ansari thereby an obvious message to the entire Muslims community especially for those who are holding high positions in the administration,” contended the academician.
“It became very easy to target or malign the image of a person of any stature or a post if he or she belongs to the Muslim community and more so they are Congress sympathisers, simply using the general perception of majority of Hindus who feel that Congress party and its sympathisers are largely pro-Pakistanis. Using these pro-Hindutva sympathisers, the BJP and the RSS aimed at their targets to achieve their political goals,” explained Apoorvanand.
The professor argued that “It is very unfortunate that the former president Hamid Ansari has been forced to prove his allegiance and loyalty towards the nation time and again. Besides, a message is being given to the Muslim community that how much high you raised up to a position, they will never take the it into consideration and you will be targeted simply to suite their nefarious design.”
