BJP’s separate manifesto for Bangalore

Bharatiya Janata party has offered to this Hi-tech city if it was voted to power in the 2018 Assembly elections in Karnataka to be held on May 12Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M H Anantkumar on Tuesday released as separate manifesto for Bengaluru and said that the first move of the BJP would be to adopt a new legislation for a new Bengaluru called the Bangalore Metropolitan Regional Governance Act. Uninterrupted water and power, better connectivity and unified transport system, besides improved health delivery are some of the salient features. The citizens would have greater participation in the functioning of the urban body and there would be transparency in all contracts and use of public assets. Besides an annual report card would also be released.

He said that the Government would also come out with a 15 year development plan for the city. It would focus on sustainability, livability, urban poor, swachha Bengaluru, Public Transport and growth.

Mr Anantkumar said that the BJP if voted to power would break the nexus between the contractors, builders and land mafia.

The party would also come out with a comprehensive policy for those who serve Bengaluru that would also cover auitorickshaw drivers and pourakarmikas.

He said the healthcare system would be improved through a Namma Bengaluru Aarogya Seva network with the setting up of smart clinics and set up 10 multi speciality hospitals.
