Hyderabad: The Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar today stated that the political leaders in the fray can file their nominations from November 12. Talking to press persons at Secretariat here, he said that EC will issue notification on the same day and the political leaders can file their nominations. They should submit separate affidavits in the prescribed form by providing details of criminal records and the liability they have with the Public Financial Institutions.
The CEO reiterated that the candidates in fray will have to follow EC guidelines and declare their criminal antecedents three times on different dates in the leading news papers and well as in Electronic Media and they have to submit the details to their respective political parties. The Political parties have to declare the details of criminal candidates contesting the upcoming polls he said.
Referring to voter enrolment, he said that the second round of summary of electoral roles has come to an end on Friday. The EC received 3,50,962 applications for the voter enrolment and we have accepted 1,52,115, rejected 13,326 applications as they failed to complete the process and put pending 1,84,521 applications, he said.
Police and election duty sleuths have so far seized illegal cash Rs. 64.36 cr, liquor worth Rs. 5.16 cr about 2,18,216 litres, three cases of violence filed in which 16 people were injured, he added.
