CBI grilled key suspect in Vivekananda Reddy murder case

Amaravati:  Continuing its probe into the sensational murder case of former minister of United Andhra Pradesh YS Vivekananda Reddy the CBI on Wednesday grilled the key suspect of this case.

The agency has quizzed the ruling YSR Congress Party State Secretary Devi Reddy Shiva Reddy in Kadapa Dist. He is a close associate of Member of Parliament Kadapa YS Avinash Reddy and his name was also surfaced in the list of the 15 suspects which was submitted to the Andhra Pradesh High Court by the deceased daughter. He came to the CBI office on its directive.  Devi Reddy was also present at the crime scene along with YS family members on murder day.

Earlier SIT was also grilled him. The investigators quizzed thoroughly as the YS Vivekandanada Reddys daughter Sunita Reddy suspect his role in the murder of his father due to his criminal background.

 The agency questioned him on different angles and asked him who would he know the YS family and how he get the information of Vivekananda Reddy murder. Earlier Sunita Reddy told the court that the Shiva had called on the other suspects of the murder.

It may be recalled the agency has yesterday questioned Sunita Reddy also. The court had earlier ordered to hand over the inquiry of this case to CBI from SITon her petition.

 The Police have registered the case of murder on March 15, 2019,  SIT officials have already interrogated a total of 1,300 people, including several political figures, YSR Congress, TDP leaders, and suspects. CBI officials have thoroughly examined the investigation report earlier.
