The IT Minister and TRS working president, KT Rama Rao, took serious objection to the suspension of three TRS MPs from Rajya and wondered why the BJP-led government suppressed the voice of opposition.
In a tweet on Wednesday, the Minister wrote: “It is a shame that instead of agreeing to a discussion and debate on inflation, price rise and GST hike on essentials, NPA Government decided to suspend three TRS party MPs from Rajya Sabha for 10 days,”
In addition, the Minister asked what is the Government afraid of and why is it stifling the voice of opposition?
On Tuesday, three TRS MPs – Divikonda Damodar Rao, B Lingaiah Yadav, and Peddiraju Ravindra – and 16 members from four other parties were suspended from Rajya Sabha for disrupting proceedings.
Moreover, KTR criticized the Narendra Modi government for not doing anything to help Telangana after it was hit by heavy rains. According to him, the Central government was treating Telangana like an enemy and taking revenge on it without sanctioning funds, with political motives.

Calling Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of Gujarat only, Rama Rao claimed that the Prime Minister, who released Rs 1,000 crore to flood-hit Gujarat as an advance relief fund, was silent on the unprecedented flood situation in the State.
As a result, he suggested that the Prime Minister release funds immediately if he had any humanity left in him. In spite of repeated requests from the State, the Union government failed to release any flood relief funds during the 2020 floods in Hyderabad.
While the state was dealing with floods, the Minister said that the union government dispatched Central teams to the state to investigate alleged irregularities under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).
