KTR Asks How Many Raids Conducted on BJP Leaders in Last Eight Years

IT Minister KT Rama Rao asked how many raids were conducted by the Enforcement Directorate, Income Tax and CBI on BJP leaders during the last eight years.

In a tweet on Saturday, the Minister asked: “How many ED, IT and CBI raids on BJP leaders or their kith and kin in last 8 years”

He went on to ask, “Kya sab ke sab BJP waale Satya Harishchandra ke rishtedaar hain?” (Are all the BJP leaders relatives of Satya Harishchandra?)

In an alleged money laundering case related to the National Herald, the ED had issued a new summons to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi on June 23.

Over the last few months, there have been a large number of raids conducted against opposition members by the central agencies.

Party lines have been blurred as political parties object to the BJP-led Central Government’s politically-motivated use of central investigation agencies against members from other parties.

On Monday, K.T. Rama Rao also said that the BJP must first apologize to Indians living at home for spewing hatred every day.

In response to reports that some Arab countries have called for an apology from India over the controversial remarks made by representatives of the ruling party, Rama Rao said that it should be the BJP that apologizes, not India.

In a tweet, Rama Rao asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi why India as a country should apologize for hate speeches made by BJP bigots.

KTR also tweeted that the PM’s silence when BJP MP Pragya Singh hailed the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi was deafening and shocking.

KTR tweeted about the issue for the second consecutive day. Earlier on Sunday, he demanded the BJP suspend its Telangana unit chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar.

On Sunday, after the BJP suspended Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal for their offensive comments, the TRS leader demanded the suspension of Sanjay Kumar.
