Chief Secretary holds a meeting on special Vaccination Drive in GHMC to begin from Aug.23

Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, held a meeting on Special  Vaccination Drive in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Cantonment Areas with Secretary, Medical and Health Department, GHMC Commissioner, Cantonment Board Officials and Medical Department Officials today at BRKR Bhavan.

An official release said the Special Vaccination Drive will be starting from August 23 will last

for 10 – 15 Days covering all the 4846 colonies, Slums, and other areas in GHMC and 360 localities in Cantonment Zone.

The Main Objective of the Special Vaccination Drive is to make Hyderabad a 100% Covid Vaccinated City.

A Total of 175 Mobile Vaccine Vehicles will be utilized for Vaccination. 150 in the GHMC area, 25 in the Cantonment area. Each Vehicle contains 2 vaccinators and one Data Entry Operator.  Each Colony will be covered by mobilization teams consisting of two people who will be covering the door to door to identify unvaccinated persons in advance.

The Team will be informing people to get vaccinated with the Date and Time in advance. After Vaccination, a sticker will be pasted on the doors of every house hold who got vaccinated.  Adequate quantity vaccine has been made available to cover all the households in GHMC and Cantonment areas.

Awareness of Special Drive Vaccination will be taken up with banners, autos stickers with the audio announcements in every colony.  After completion of the Vaccination, a ceremony will be held in the colony to release the banner in the presence of colony office bearers to encourage and motivate areas colonies, slums to go for 100% vaccination.

GHMC Commissioner will be issuing an appreciation certificate to the Resident Welfare Associations (RWAS) Colonies who successfully completed 100% vaccination.

The Chief Secretary appealed to the people to make use of the opportunity to get vaccinated in this special drive.

S.A.M. Rizvi,  Secretary, Health,  Lokesh Kumar, Commissioner, GHMC,  Ajit Reddy,CEO, Sec-bad Cantonment Board, Dr. Srinivas Rao, Director, Public Health, Dr.Gangadhar, OSD to  CM and other officials attended the meeting.
