CM KCR directs officials to make Nizamabad beautiful and vibrant

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao directed officials to take steps to complete all ongoing infrastructure and beautification works in the city within the next two and a half months, stating that his government intends to develop Nizamabad city as one of the most beautiful and vibrant cities in the state. He directed the Finance Secretary to release additional funds for Nizamabad’s development.

The Chief Minister, who held a high-level meeting in Pragathi Bhavan on Sunday, urged officials to develop Nizamabad at twice the current rate. He stated that he would personally visit Nizamabad in two months to inspect the ongoing development projects.

He delegated the responsibility of overseeing to local MLA Ganesh Bigala, and asked him to coordinate with all line departments such as Panchayat Raj, Roads and Buildings, and Municipal Administration. He gave instructions to the officials on how to proceed with the development of Nizamabad.

According to Chandrashekhar Rao, there is no shortage of funds and that efforts should be made to make Nizamabad a beautiful and liveable city. Using Khammam as an example, the Chief Minister recalled how the city, which was once neglected, was transformed into a beautiful city thanks to the efforts of the State government.

“Make Nizamabad as beautiful as Khammam,” he asserted. He directed Nizamabad officials to visit Khammam and study the local administration’s development efforts.

The Chief Minister directed that all gravel roads in Nizamabad be converted to BT roads. He also directed them to submit proposals for the city’s needs, which included graveyards, burial grounds, integrated markets, community halls, dump yards, veg and non-veg markets in Nizamabad, and to complete the work as soon as possible. Modern Dobhi Ghats and saloons should also be built in Nizamabad, he said.

Chandrashekhar Rao inquired about the condition of Nizamabad’s public gardens and directed officials to improve all public gardens on a war footing. He directed that the Nizamabad railway station be beautified and that plans be developed to use all government lands in Nizamabad for public purposes. He also requested that they submit plans for the use of the city’s vacant lands.

Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao, who was present at the meeting, briefed the Chief Minister on the development projects being carried out by his department in the state. He described the municipal department’s efforts to transform various cities throughout the state into world-class destinations. Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Minister of Roads and Buildings, also provided information about the construction of an auditorium in Nizamabad.

MLC K Kavitha requested that the Chief Minister build a bus stand, a sports ground, and a Haj Bhavan in the city.

MLCs Venkatarami Reddy and Padi Kaushik Reddy, MLAs Bigala Ganesh, A Jeevan Reddy, Rohit Reddy, Special Chief Secretary for Municipal Administration Arvind Kumar, Municipal Administration Director Satyanarayana, Nizamabad Collector Narayana Reddy, Additional Collector Chandrasekhar, Municipal Commissioner Chitra, and senior Nizamabad district officers all participated.
