Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy said on Monday that the BRS era in national politics would begin soon as Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao emerged as an irresistible political force.
Jagadish Reddy told party leaders and members at the ‘BRS Athmeeya Sammelanam’ in Angadipet that the BRS government had brought light into the lives of poor people over the last nine years.
Welfare schemes such as Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema, 24 hour free power to agriculture, Kalyana Lakshmi, KCR Kits, increases in Aasara pensions, and schemes aimed at reviving caste-based professions have changed the state’s socioeconomic conditions, he added.
He claimed that the political parties that ruled the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh for six decades had failed to develop Telangana.
It was stated that the Narendra Modi government was attempting to obstruct the welfare schemes of the BRS government because it was unable to digest the increasing popularity of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

He alleged that the Centre has stopped sanctioning Rs 30,000 crore to the state because the latter had refused to fix metres to agricultural electricity connections.
He stated that leaders from neighbouring states such as Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Karnataka were voluntarily joining the BRS.
He said that the Congress had lost its place in national politics and that the BRS was the only viable alternative to the BJP. As a result, BJP leaders targeted Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
Ramavath Ravindra Kumar Naik, BRS district president and Devarakonda MLA, also attended the meeting.
