Coalition with the BJP was a big mistake, will not repeat the same: Nitish Kumar

Terming the formation of coalition with NDA a big mistake, the Chief Minister Bihar Nitish Kumar said that “He will never ever repeat the same mistake in future.” He was speaking during a state executive meeting of Janata Dal United on Sunday in Bihar.

Meanwhile, the JDU Chief has left for Delhi on monday where he will be meeting with opposition leaders in order to form a strong opposition to contest BJP. “A united opposition is the need of the hour. All the non-BJP parties need to form a coalition for a decisive mandate against the BJP in the upcoming elections in the year 2024,” he said.

During his three days long tour to Delhi, he will meet with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, CPM leader Sitaram Yachuri and other top politicians from different political folds to discuss plans about forming a new front against the advancement of BJP. Watching the situation closely, the political pundits are perceiving this tour as an evolving situation that will draw new political lines between the opposition and the ruling BJP government.

Earlier, the JDU state spokesperson K.C.Tiyagi said “Nitish Kumar was very firm in his decision to not to join the coalition with BJP again and accepted rejoining the BJP in the year 2017 was a big mistake. Tiyaji also explained in length the comprehensive efforts of the BJP to finish the JDU.

Efforts are on to bring all the opposition parties of the country on one platform to counter the totalitarian rule of the BJP government led by Narendra Modi. Only last month the Janata Dal United foiled the BJP’s plot and stepped out of the coalition with NDA that resulted into a blow back to BJP who lost the government in Bihar and JDU took over the reign.

The broken pact between BJP and JDU has sent a shocking message to saffron leadership who were busy toppling opposition governments in different states especially in Chattisgarh where the Suren government was put to test its majority following the plot mainly played by the BJP to grab the government.
