Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have decreased commercial LPG cylinder pricing in three major cities, the first decrease of the year. However, pricing in Hyderabad, where commercial LPG cylinder rates are the second highest among Indian metros, remain unchanged.
The commercial LPG cylinder price in Hyderabad is currently Rs 1985.00, following a drop in December. At Rs 2029.50 per cylinder, Kolkata has the highest price. Other major cities’ pricing are as follows:

Domestic LPG cylinder costs, on the other hand, have remained steady, with Hyderabad having the second-highest rate among Indian metros. The retail price of a household LPG cylinder in Hyderabad is Rs 955, whereas the highest price is Rs 1000 in Kolkata.

The difference in LPG cylinder costs between metros is due to state and city levies. Local taxes in Hyderabad contribute to increased costs. Telangana residents, notably in the Nirmal district, pay some of the highest gas prices, with commercial and domestic gas rates of Rs 2027 and Rs 980, respectively.
