Communal Color Over Twitter Propaganda, Advocate Files Complaint Against Swara Bhaskar, Manish Maheshwari

Ever since the Ghaziabad police booked Twitter Inc, Twitter Communication India Pvt Ltd et al, they received plenty of criticism from netizens. A complaint has been filed against the corporate, its India MD Manish Maheshwari, Bollywood actor Swara Bhaskar, Journalist Arfa Khanum Sherwani and plenty of others.

Advocate Files Complaints of Painting Communal Colour Over Twitter 

The complaint was filed by Advocate Amit Acharya on June 16 at Tilak Marg station. Following this, a politician said that they’re currently within the process of certifying the complaint and afterward they’ll register a case. In his complaint Acharya alleged that some people had posted a video on social media of a person identified as Abdul Samad Saifi, who was beaten, thrashed and his beard was chopped off.

He further alleged that the video showed that the those that were thrashing the old man were from the Hindu community. and that they forced Saifi to chant “vande matram and Jai Shri Ram”.

He further alleged that Khan, Sherwani, Bhaskar, who have their social media account and followers in huge numbers reportedly got inspired from the incident. Following which, they (reportedly) started a propaganda to spread hate across the citizens. Acharya further claimed that the users have an enormous amount of followers on

Twitter and are cognizant of the very fact that their tweets have a sway on the society. He alleged that “they gave communal colours to the incident without fact checking the truthfulness of the incident”.

Advocate Acharya Accuses Users of Initiating Conspiracy 

Advocate Acharya further added to the complaint that the tweets made by the users (people mentioned within the complaint) isn’t (reportedly) meant to share their personal opinions. But rather to “initiate conspiracy against religious harmony within the country”. He also alleged that the users (people mentioned within the complaint) were fully awake to the actual fact that the data they were sharing was false. This further ends up in offences under multiple section of the IPC.
