Confluent Medical, an Arizona headquartered medical device company, has announced the establishment of a pilot manufacturing facility in Hyderabad as well as ambitious growth plans over the next 12 months.
The company plans to introduce cutting-edge technology for the production of Nitinol products, a first in India.
They strive to bring the newest technological advances to Hyderabad, from basic and delicate wireform gadgets to complex and distinctive laser-cut creations. Customers from India and Asia would be catered to by the facility.
The statement came following a meeting between Industries Minister KT Rama Rao and Dean Schauer, Director, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Confluent Medical in the United States.
Mr Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department and other Telangana government officials also attended the meeting.
Confluent Medical recently announced a strategic investment from TPG Capital to power their next stage of growth and expansion, according to the Confluent team.
Confluent’s goal is to deliver high-end medical technology to India, and Hyderabad has been chosen as the country’s entrance into the company. Confluent will also look to develop its biomedical textile services from concept to full-scale production.
“I am extremely happy to note that Confluent Medical Technologies has picked Hyderabad, Telangana to commemorate its arrival into India,” stated Industries Minister K.T Rama Rao.
He added, “MedTech is one of the strategic focus sectors for the Government of Telangana and we are delighted to provide Confluent Technologies with all the assistance it requires to expand in Telangana. I’m excited to strengthen the cooperation between the State of Telangana and Confluent Medical Technologies in order to strengthen our leadership position in life sciences, particularly in the medical devices sector.”
