Congress ready to face poll even today: Bhatti

Hyderabad: Stating that it was not possible to say with which party the Congress would join hands, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said his party was ready to face elections even if they are conducted today or tomorrow.

In a chat with the scribes at CLP office here on Saturday, Bhatti said the alliance would be as per the election needs. Several leaders from other political parties were expressing their willingness to join Congress party, Bhatti said and opined that the Consultations Committee will look after on when and whom to be invited to the party.

Finding fault with IT Minister KT Ramarao, Bhatti said no matured person would not say ‘Amma…Bomma’ word. The people were observing that the TRS leaders termed UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi as ‘Amma’ when they had work with her and saying ‘Bomma’ when they have no work.

Condemning the BJP Rajya Sabha member Subrahmanya Swamy’s remarks against AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi, Bhatti said there was a need to every party leader to behave in a manner not to harm the party. There was not truth in the rumor that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had a meeting with Telangana Congress leaders. He said the Party affairs in-charge RC Kuntia would tell as to when there would be Bus Yatra and Padayatras. He opined that the Congress party was in the people’s hearts. (NSS)
