Congress Slams UP CM Yogi Adityanath Over No-Cabinet Rank Woman Minister

Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2022, Congress leaders slammed the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his comments on party not appointing a common woman as party president. They questioned him regarding no-cabinet rank woman minister in the state.

During a private media interaction recently, Adityanath asked why Congress was not appointing a common woman as the party chief. Responding to the question, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said that Yogiji was upset about Priyanka Gandhi’s decision to give 40 percent tickets to women. She said that he had earlier opposed women reservation bill in Parliament and doesn’t have any woman as the cabinet minister in their council.

“You want to control woman power. Better change your mindset,” said Shrinate.
