Hyundai Motor India is gearing up to unveil the highly-anticipated Creta facelift compact SUV in the country. The company has sent out invitations to media outlets for a potential unveiling on January 16, 2024.
While the official invitation doesn’t explicitly mention the Creta facelift, recent sightings of test mules suggest that this could be the case. The upcoming Creta facelift is expected to feature significant exterior and interior redesigns, along with the addition of new features.
The initial Creta facelift was unveiled by Hyundai in 2021 at the GIIAS event in Indonesia. However, this version was not showcased at the 2023 Indian Auto Expo, leading to speculation about a distinct facelift tailored for the Indian market.

Recent test mules have indicated that Hyundai is taking a different approach in India, drawing inspiration from the new Palisade facelift. Notable changes include a fresh parametric grille, vertically stacked headlights, and an updated front bumper. The rear will likely feature H-shaped taillights with sequential turn indicators.
On the interior front, reports suggest two options – a black and beige interior for the naturally aspirated petrol and diesel variants, and an all-black upholstery for the 1.5-liter variant. The dashboard layout remains unseen, but there are expectations of dual 10.25-inch screens, similar to the Kia Seltos facelift. Additionally, the Creta facelift might offer Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features, including a radar and camera on the front windshield, along with a 360-degree reverse camera.
Regarding powertrain options, it is likely that Hyundai will continue offering the same engines as the current model. These include a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine (160 bhp, 250 Nm), a 1.5-liter diesel engine (114 bhp, 250 Nm), and a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine (113 PS, 144 Nm).
