Hyderabad: The South Zone Task Force personnel along with Ramgopalpet police busted an organized cricket betting racket being operated from abroad and apprehended six persons and seized betting amount of Rs 8 lakh, six mobile phones and a Verna car.
The accused were identified as Zaynil Rupani, 30, of Silver Jubilee Housing Colony, P.G Road, Secunderabad; Nazim Gilani alias Vicky, 30, of Tulip Garden Housing, Kompally, Mohit Jain, 29, of Metro Apartments, P.G Road, Secunderabad; Nikhar Maheshwari, 30, of Saphire Apartments, Chikoti Garden, Begumpet; Rahul Jain, 28, of Uma Towers, Sindhi Colony, Secunderabad; Vaibhav Salvi, 30, of P.G Road, Secunderabad. Four accused Barkat Lalani of Sindhi Colony, Danish Salim of Sindhi Colony, Sohail and Sahil are absconding.
The accused and the seized property were handed over to the Ramgopalpet P.S. (NSS)
