Crocodile found at Hyderabad’s Musi River

A crocodile was spotted on the bed of Musi waterway on Thursday, sending alarm in Puranapul and encompassing territories in the old city of Hyderabad.

A neighborhood resident found the crocodile laying on the waterway bed and alarmed the police. Countless inquisitive spectators accumulated on the banks of the stream, causing gridlock in the occupied Puranapul territory.

The police alarmed the woodland division, which debuted a group. The activity to catch the crocodile will continue on Friday.

It is being said that the crocodile got into the Musi from Himayat Sagar or Osman Sagar, the two supplies upstream.

The reptile was found in the waterway daily after the city got substantial precipitation. The stream, which has nearly evaporated, gets a few inflows during a rainstorm, Panic was caused in the area due to the crocodile being found.

As per the authorities, the crocodile may have accompanied the water stream because of heavy rainfalls. In the interim, rescue operations by Nehru Zoological Park are in progress.

N Kshitija, an IFS Curator, Nehru Zoological Park told that “The crocodile could not be rescued as there was a heavy flow of water.”

A resident stated that “The crocodile was spotted and then the people gathered there to see it which caused a traffic jam. Later, the police arrived here and started controlling the traffic jam while they informed the zoo officials.”
