Cross voting witnessed in MLC elections

It’s just Just concluded that MLC elections appeared to have witnessed cross-voting from the ruling TRS party.

Although the ruling TRS party has managed to win all six MLC seats, the party leaders are saying that the cross-voting was witnessed in districts like Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, and Medak districts.

 They are saying that the Congress party and Independent candidates have benefited from the cross-voting from their party. In the Karimnagar district, the cross-voting of the votes was witnessed from all political parties including TRS, Congress, and BJP. “Some of Our party voters have voted for the independent candidate Ravinder Singh. Similarly, our party appears to have got the votes of the congress party and the BJP. We are looking into the issue now,” a TRS party leader told NSS.

Similarly, although, the TRS party won in the Medak MLC seat, the Congress party candidate Nirmala Jagga Reddy got 8 more votes than the party’s actual strength taking the total polled votes for her to 238 votes. The lone Congress party MLA from the undivided Medak district Jagga Reddy had openly stated that he would Redugn from his post if his party got even one vote less than their actual strength.

In Khammam district, the ruling party voters cast their vote to the opposite party candidate. While the winning candidate from the ruling TRS party Tata Madhusudhan Rao got 480 votes, the Congress party candidate got 242 votes although the party had only 116 votes in the seat.

 The winning candidate Madhusudhan Rao has said confirmed the fact that the cross-voting was done in his constituency.  He said that he would take the issue to the notice of Chief Minister  K Chandrasekhar Rao.
